Closed Container Storage Option
Should you choose to rotate entire containers, you would list the container barcode on the Transmittal Form (see Customer Resource Guide/Account Inventory Control/Transmittal Forms). Per the instructions listed, the container would either be cycled back to the customer as specified, or when the customer calls for its return. The container remains closed and locked (optional) while in Datasite Northwest's possession. The entire container is then transported inside an unmarked climate controlled van to your facility.

Open Rack Storage Option
For sizable off-site libraries of DAT, DLT, Quarter Inch, 3480 cartridges or tapes reels, the Open Rack option is charged monthly by the slot. With the Open Rack option, the media is removed from the rack at your request or as scheduled. The media is then transported in a media specific container, inside an unmarked climate controlled van to your company.
